Green to Blue

In 2008 the Australian Open transitioned from a cushioned hard surfaced called rebound ace to the cooler Plexicushion hard court you see today.

The colour of the court also changed to a striking sea of blue.

The fresh, vibrant look of the blue courts — ‘Australian Open True Blue’ — was a winner for contemporising the brand of the Grand Slam of Asia / Pacific. Tournament Director Craig Tiley said.”

At TPS Tennis, 2021 was a year of many changes and complexities to take the academy to the next level. We needed to revamp our newest venue to make it as a world class tennis training facility. With an indoor gym, changing rooms, pool, outdoor green area; we needed to elevate the courts to match the rest of the venue facilities by re-surfacing our two courts as Australian Open did in 2008.

After two months of intense work, we achieved our goal to have two brand new courts ready to welcome our students and players. TPS Tennis is not only focused on helping improve student’s education, but we also seek to provide the best possible conditions for them to be physically active and engaged in sports. By playing sports, students learn about winning and losing, they strengthen their mind and body, and it helps them grow up healthy.

One day some of these students may become great tennis players and true ambassadors of their respected country and make all of us very proud.

Furthermore, we plan to open several tennis courts in different locations across UAE so follow us to get the latest news!
