Our programs

Red Ball

Players from three to six years old where we focus on their motor skills (catching, throwing, jumping, ball impact, among other progressions, to start athlete development).

  • 2-4 hours on court per week

  • Age: 5-8 years
  • Ball: 75% slower than a yellow ball (red felt or foam, moves slower and bounces lower than orange ball)
  • Court: 11-12m x 5-6m
  • Racket (dependant on the size of the player): up to 23”
  • Scoring options: One times tiebreak to seven to ten, best of three tiebreaks to seven and timed matches
  • Stage description: Slower balls, smaller courts and shorter rackets, enable players to play the game from the first lesson. Players start to play fun, team-based matches and develop good technique and use realistic tactics
Green Ball

Players from 9 to 12 years old. It’s the first step to full size tennis court. The goal is to serve, rally, approach and volley.

  • 4-6 hours on court per week
  • Prices based on 10 week per term
  • Cost: AED 90 per player per hour (max four kids per court)
  • Age: 9-10 years
  • Ball: 25% slower than a yellow ball (slightly reduced bounce from yellow ball)
  • Court: Full size court
  • Racket (dependant on the size of the player): 25-26”
  • Scoring options: One times short set to four and best of three short sets to four (third set as match tiebreak)
  • Stage description: The ball is faster than at Orange, but still slower and lower bouncing than the yellow ball, helping players to continue to develop good technique and to implement advanced tactics. Matches are slightly longer than at Orange, and both ‘team’ and ‘individual’ events are played.
Orange Ball

Players from six to eight years old. We focus on ABC (agility, balance and coordination) training in the official ITF standards worldwide.

  • 4-6 hours on court per week
  • Duration: 10 – 12 weeks per term
  • Age: 8-10 years
  • Ball: 50% slower than a yellow ball (moves slower and bounces lower than green ball)
  • Court: 18m x 6.5-8.23m
  • Racket (dependant on the size of the player): 23-25”
  • Scoring options: Best of three tiebreaks to seven and one times short set to four
  • Stage description: Players move to a larger court, relevant to their size. The ball is slightly faster, but continues to provide an optimal striking zone and the ability to implement advanced tactics. Matches are longer than at Red, and children play both ‘team’ and ‘individual’ events
Yellow Ball

Pre-performance: players that have shown a high level of technique and interest to be introduced to tournaments and programs that start with a minimum of 10+ hours a week including mental, fitness and tennis training.

  • 4-6 hours on court per week
  • 2-3 hours of specific physical training per week
  • Prices based on 10 week per term
  • Cost: AED 125 per player per hour (max four kids per court)
  • Access to tournaments available

  • Age: 11 years and over
  • Ball: Yellow ball
  • Court: Full size court
  • Racket (dependant on the size of the player): 26-29”
  • Scoring options: Any scoring system within the Rules of Tennis
  • Stage description: Once players have progressed through the Red, Orange and Green stages, they will usually be ready to train and compete with a yellow ball on the full court

“The International Tennis Federation recommend that all ten and under competition and training, should be organised using slower Red, Orange or Green balls on the appropriate sized court, with the appropriate sized racket. Players who begin tennis later (e.g. nine years or above) are still recommended to begin training and competing at Red, before progressing to Orange and then Green”
